Palazzo Avignonesi was built in the late 16th century and the cellars still remain today. In 1974 the winery was taken over by the Falvo brothers completely renovated it. Today, Avignonesi consists of 432 acres and three wine-producing estates: Le Cappezzine, I Pogetti and La Selva. Varietals produced by the estate include Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, Merlot and Pinot Noir.

In 1880, the farm building on the Azienda Agricola Bernardina Monsordo Ceretto estate was built . Though the structure has since been renovated, it did keep its original structure. At Ceretto all previously existing vineyards were cleared, then planted with imported vines for Cabernet Sauvignon, Pinot Noir, Syrah, Chardonnay, Viognier and Riesling.

The winery owns 230 acres that they plant with Chardonnay, Pinot Blanc, Pinot Noir and traditional Franciacorta grapes. Ca' del Bosco wines available in the U.S. include six D.O.C.G. sparkling wines, three D.O.C. still wines and two vino da tavola.

Casa Vinicola Bruno Giacosa was established over three generations ago. In addition to the cellars they have located in Nieve, the winery also owns Azienda Agricola Falletto at Serralunga d'Alba and a plot of land in Barbaresco. They plant their 25 acre farm in Serralunga d'Alba exclusively with vines. Castello Banfi, an 11th-century fortress located in Montalcino, Tuscany was founded in 1978 by John and Harry Mariani. In the winery they use modern winemaking methods and traditional practices. Overlooking the vineyards is the estate's medieval showpiece, a Romanesque fortress known as Castello Banfi. Main varietals produced at the winery are Brunello de Montalcino, Cabernet Sauvignon, Chardonnay, Merlot, Pinot Grigio, Syrah, Pinot Noir, Sauvignon Blanc and Moscadello di Montalcino.

Castello dei Rampolla, owned by the di Napoli family since 1739, produce their wines at the Santa Lucia estate in Faulle, which is in the heart of the Chianti region. The winery has two vineyard sites: One, with a southeast exposure, comprises 64 acres and is located in the town of Greve. The other, in the town of Castellina, has a total of 35 acres with a southwest exposure.

Fonterutoli, owned by the Mazzei family since 1435, has been a medieval Tuscan village, a castle, a Chianti Classico and a "Vini da Tavola" range. The vineyards were started by one ancestor named Filippo Mazzei who was a signer of the Declaration of Independence. As a friend of Thomas Jefferson, he planted experimental vineyards on his Virginia estate. His namesake currently runs the estate, which experiments with clonal selection and development.

The Felsina estate, consisting of 865 acres of land, lies near the southernmost border of the Chianti Classico region. The estate consists of 11 farmhouses dating back to the Middle Ages. Felsina plants 125 acres of their land with vines which produce 25,000 cases of wine annually. Wines they produce include Chianti Classico, Chianti Classico Riserva, Vigneto Rancia Riserva, Fontalloro, I Sistri and Maestro Raro.

In 1956, Michele Chiarlo, descendant of more than five generations of vine growers, founded the Michele Chiarlo Winery in Calamandrana. A second facility was built in 1978 at Gavi for vinification and bottling. Also in 1978, The Antico Podere Averame in the Cerequio cru of Barolo, a Nebbiolo vineyard, was added. Michele Chiarlo also owns vineyards in Cannubi, the Piedmont cru.

Sassicaia was created in the early 1940s by Mario Incisa della Rocchetta in Bordeaux. From 1948 to 1960 the wine was only produced for private consumption. Then, in 1968 the first vintage was presented to the market. The 1994 vintage was the first vintage ever to receive its own Denominazione di Origine Controllata from the Italian National Committee on Wines. This was the first time ever D.O.C. status had been granted to a single property. Currently, the winery is run by Mario's son, Nicolo Incisa della Rocchetta.

Tenuta dell'Ornellaia, located in Bolgari became the personal estate of Marchese Lodovico Antinori in the late 1970's. Inspired by technical developments in California winemaking technology and influenced by his uncle, Mario Incisa della Rochetta, the Marchese began making wine in 1980. Their first commercially released vintage of Ornellaia was produced in 1985.
